Bridal Trial (Sunday)
*Important* Bridal Trials are only to be booked once your wedding date has been confirmed by Monique to be available or if you have already paid the deposit for your wedding date. If you have not already, please send in a Bridal Enquiry first.
Bridal Trials run for 2hrs and it is your chance to get to know Monique as an artist as well as to get a feel for her makeup style to see whether or not it resonates with you for your wedding day. If you have already paid a deposit for your wedding date, your bridal trial will be an opportunity to meet Monique before your big day and for you both to get to know one another! A Bridal Trial can be booked on a day you have another event but it is not a regular makeup appointment, as at your trial we will:
Discuss your bridal makeup inspiration/ vision board |
Conduct a colour analysis |
Conduct a skin consultation |
Trial a vast variety of different makeup products |
Analyse your facial structure/ features |
Create a record of products used to replicate on your wedding day |
The above is not done at a regular makeup appointment so you must come prepared and treat it as a Bridal Trial and not just another makeup appointment.
The entire cost of this service is $220 with a non-refundable $70 deposit, which can be paid through bank transfer once the booking has been made online. The remaining amount owing ($150) can be paid at the appointment via cash or bank transfer. You will receive an email immediately after your online booking with all of the information that you need.
All appointments will run for 2hrs, with the earliest booking time being 8am and the latest booking time being 3pm Monday to Saturday ONLY. If you would like to book on a Sunday, please navigate to the Sunday booking page.
These appointments are also to be done ONLY at Makeup By Monique’s home studio in Essendon, Victoria. Please also take a look at our 'Terms & Conditions' page for information about our late fees and other policies.

General
Deposits
- Deposits are strictly non-refundable. Under no circumstances will the deposit be refunded, this includes but not limited to reasons like the cancellation of the event or illness.
- The deposit will only be transferrable to a new date if the booking is being rescheduled at least one week prior to the original booking date. Otherwise, the deposit will be forfeited and a new deposit will need to be paid to secure the new booking date.
- All deposits are paid via bank transfer.
Cancellations/ Changes
- All appointments that are cancelled with 48hrs notice or less will still incur the full appointment fee. This includes any appointments where the client has booked in the incorrect date on accident and with less than 48hrs notice.
- Example scenario: A client books in for a birthday glam for 16/10 on accident but was suppose to book for 16/11 instead. The client realises their mistake 5 days before the 16/10. The client's original deposit for 16/10 will be forfeited and a new deposit for 16/11 must be paid to have that date secured. The client however, will not be charged the full appointment fee for 16/10 as there was more than 48hrs notice of the cancellation.
Lateness
- There will be a $15 late fee for any client that is late to their appointment. No extra time will be supplemented.
- This late policy is also applicable to mobile bookings for any client who does not adhere to their schedule on time.
- Appointments will automatically be cancelled if no one arrives after 15 minutes and no correspondence has been made by the client. The full appointment fee however, will still be owed.
Sunday/ Public Holiday Fees
- All mobile services and bookings occurring on a Sunday or Public Holiday will incur an additional 10% / 20% surcharge on the entire booking respectively.
- All in-studio bookings occurring on a Sunday will cost an additional $20.
- All in-studio bookings occurring on a Public Holiday will cost an additional $30.
Appointment Etiquette
- All clients must arrive and have parked at least 5 minutes before their scheduled appointment time.
- Clients must come to their makeup appointment with no makeup/ clean skin and exfoliated lips.
- There is a zero tolerance policy for the usage of mobile devices during the appointment.
- Clients paying the remaining balance owed via cash, must have the exact amount ready to be paid at the end of the appointment. Otherwise, immediate bank transfer is the only other option.
Hair Add-On
- Clients must come to their appointment with freshly washed and fully dried hair that is ready for styling. If additional prep (e.g blow wave) is required, this will be an additional charge.
- Clients must understand that Makeup By Monique only offers ‘Soft Curls’ as a hair service. This is simply a curl and brush out.
- Clients wanting other hairstyles to be done, are recommended to find another hair stylist that offers those services.
- It is the clients responsibility to notify Makeup By Monique of any hair conditions such as psoriasis etc.
Do you offer a cheaper price if I bring my own lashes/ products?No, my prices are fixed regardless of if you bring your own lashes/ products or not. |
If I cancel my booking, what happens to my deposit?Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferrable. |
What happens if I am running late to my appointment?That's completely fine! As long as you reach out to me and let me know. I do also charge a $15 late fee. |
Will I receive a touch up kit after the appointment?Yes! You will receive a complimentary touch up kit which includes a powder puff, lipstick sample, 1ml of lash glue, q-tips, mascara wand and a mint at the end of every appointment. |
Do I have to pay for parking at your location?No! There is free street parking when you have your appointment in my home studio. |
Will you take before/ after photos of me?I will only take photos/ videos of you as well as use them on my social media pages if you give me consent to. |
How long before my event should I book the appointment?I always recommend to give yourself at least 30 minutes to an hour of extra time before your event. |
What happens if I make an online booking but I do not pay the deposit before the appointment?If that deposit is not paid within 24hrs of the online booking, the booking will automatically be cancelled. |
Do you offer cheaper makeup services if I am after a more "natural" makeup look?My makeup service has a fixed price regardless of how dramatic the desired makeup look is. |

Step 1: Align band with natural lash line & trim excess if needed.
Step 2: Apply MNQE BEAUTY lash adhesive to lash band, wait 15 seconds for adhesive to get tacky.
Step 3: Place the lash in the centre of your natural lashes, using MNQE BEAUTY lash applicator, push the inner side of strip lash in place followed by outer.
Step 4: Press lashes against natural lashes. All done!
