Please read the policies below carefully before making a booking.

Disclaimer: By submitting a booking fee with Makeup By Monique, you agree to all the terms and conditions listed below. If you have booked Makeup By Monique for bridal makeup, by submitting a booking fee you agree to all the terms and conditions listed below as well as all the terms listed in your contract.

 

General 

Booking Fees

  • Booking fees are strictly non-refundable. Under no circumstances will the booking fee be refunded, this includes but not limited to reasons like the cancellation of the event or illness.
  • The booking fee will only be transferrable to a new date if the booking is being rescheduled at least one week prior to the original booking date (for Bridal Bookings, please refer to your Bridal Contract). Otherwise, the booking fee will be forfeited and a new booking fee will need to be paid to secure the new booking date.
  • All booking fees are paid via bank transfer, cash payments are strictly prohibited.

Cancellations/ Changes

  • All appointments that are cancelled with 48hrs notice or less will still incur the full appointment fee. This includes any appointments where the client has booked in the incorrect date on accident and with less than 48hrs notice (for Bridal Bookings, please refer to your Bridal Contract).
  • Example scenario: A client books in for a birthday glam for 16/10 on accident but was suppose to book for 16/11 instead. The client realises their mistake 5 days before the 16/10. The client's original booking fee for 16/10 will be forfeited and a new booking fee for 16/11 must be paid to have that date secured. The client however, will not be charged the full appointment fee for 16/10 as there was more than 48hrs notice of the cancellation.
  • For group bookings, if the number of people has been decreased or the start time has been pushed back with less than 6 months notice, the original full quoted price will still remain the same.
  • Example scenario: A group booking of 6 people for 14/10 has now been changed to a booking of 4 people with only one week notice. The full quoted amount will still be owed. 

Lateness

  • There will be a $15 late fee for any client that is more than 5 minutes late to their appointment. No extra time will be supplemented. 
  • Appointments will automatically be cancelled if no one arrives after 15 minutes and no correspondence has been made by the client. The full appointment fee however, will still be owed.

Sunday/ Public Holiday Fees

  • All mobile services and bookings occurring on a Sunday or Public Holiday will incur an additional 10% / 20% surcharge on the entire booking respectively.
  • All in-studio bookings occurring on a Sunday will cost an additional $20.
  • All in-studio bookings occurring on a Public Holiday will cost an additional $30.

 

Mobile Bookings

  • All mobile appointments require a non-refundable $100 booking fee via bank transfer to be secured (booking fee is $200 for Bridal Bookings). This booking fee covers admin and all preparatory work carried out before the service takes place and will be retained in all circumstances. The booking fee is deducted from the final balance.
  • All mobile clients must provide Makeup By Monique an appropriate area to set up/ work in (a barstool and large clear table that is near a powerpoint is ideal). A high chair can be provided if a barstool is not available, however, clients must let Makeup By Monique know if the high chair needs to be provided at least 24hrs before the appointment.
  • Clients paying the remaining balance owed via cash, must have the exact amount ready to be paid at the start of the appointment. Otherwise, PAY ID is the only other option. Card payments are strictly prohibited.
  • All mobile clients and any/ all parties involved, must have no makeup/ clean skin and exfoliated lips ready for the makeup application at their scheduled time.
  • All mobile clients will be charged an overtime rate of $100/ hr if any parties involved does not strictly adhere to this schedule or causes any difficulty during their allotted time that causes any overtime to Makeup By Monique's agreed finish time.
  • All mobile clients and any/ all parties involved must understand that Makeup By Monique has a zero tolerance policy for the usage of mobile devices during the appointment. This includes taking any phone calls during the appointment.
  • All mobile clients and any/ all parties involved must understand that Makeup By Monique specialises in soft glam bridal makeup and must only show reference photos of looks from or similar to those from her Instagram page @makeupbymnqe.
  • All mobile clients must make note of their appointment date and time. Client’s will still owe the full appointment fee if the wrong date was booked mistakenly by the client and less than 7 days notice was given.

 

In-Studio Appointments

  • All appointments require a non-refundable booking fee via bank transfer to be secured. The booking fee is deducted from the final balance.
  • All clients must arrive and have parked at least 5 minutes before their scheduled appointment time. There will be a $15 late fee for any client that is more than 5 minutes late to their appointment. No extra time will be supplemented.
  • Appointments will automatically be cancelled if no one arrives after 15 minutes and no correspondence has been made by the client. The full appointment fee however, will still be owed.
  • It is the client’s responsibility to make note of their appointment date and time. Client’s will still owe the full appointment fee if the wrong date was booked mistakenly by the client and less than 48hrs notice was given.
  • Clients must come to their makeup appointment with no makeup/ clean skin and exfoliated lips.
  • There is a zero tolerance policy for the usage of mobile devices during the appointment.
  • Clients paying the remaining balance owed via cash, must have the exact amount ready to be paid at the end of the appointment. Otherwise, PAY ID is the only other option. Card payments are strictly prohibited.

 

Hair Add-On

Disclaimer: The hair add-on is only offered for in-studio makeup clients and is strictly not offered for mobile clients or bridal clients.

  • Clients must come to their appointment with freshly washed and fully dried hair that is ready for styling. Please note that Makeup By Monique strictly does not offer any blow waving or hair drying services. If the client arrives at their appointment with wet or damp hair, the hair service will be cancelled with the full appointment fee still charged. 
  • Clients must understand that Makeup By Monique only offers ‘Soft curls/ waves’ as a hair service. This is simply a curl and brush out.
  • Clients wanting other hairstyles to be done, are recommended to find another hair stylist that offers those services.
  • It is the clients responsibility to notify Makeup By Monique of any hair conditions such as psoriasis etc.
